EHAC represents as umbrella organisation at European level the concerns and interests of operators, emergency medicine and patients both professionally as consequently and sustained.
EHAC maintains a well developed network between members as well as between renowned experts, authorities (especially EASA), industry and other organisations (e.g. AAMS and ISAS).
To increase flight and patient safety EHAC and its partners have developed the innovative human factor training Aeromedical Crew Resource Management (ACRM), co-funded by the European Union. This does not mean only the technical abilities to fly an aircraft, but as well non-technical abilities like team communication, capacity for teamwork, leadership behavior, situative thoughtfulness and decision making (soft skills). These soft skills are the central points and content of ACRM - Aeromedical Crew Ressource Management, which is designed for pilots and HEMS crew members (HCM) likewise. Only a common team appoach which includes all occupation groups equivalently and a common sensitization will lead to positive effects in flight safety and patient safety.
